Launched in 2022 by Chelmsford For You in collaboration with local artist Candy Joyce, Concrete Canvas was created to bring new life to overlooked spaces across Chelmsford. Zabou was invited this May to take part in the fourth edition of the festival. She painted a wall located at an unusual and busy location: inside the bus station. The mural is a nod to commuters and features the portrait of a man in a rush (model: Julio), checking his watch, his expression caught in that relatable blend of nervousness and excitement.

Lancé en 2022 par Chelmsford For You en collaboration avec l’artiste locale Candy Joyce, Concrete Canvas a été créé afin de redonner vie à des espaces délaissés à travers Chelmsford. Zabou a été invitée ce mois de Mai à participer à la quatrième édition du festival. Elle a réalisé une fresque située dans un lieu à la fois atypique et très fréquenté : à l’intérieur de la gare routière. L’œuvre est un clin d’oeil aux voyageurs et représente le portrait d’un homme pressé (modèle : Julio), regardant sa montre, avec une expression mêlant nervosité et excitation.
