After Anseo Festival in Dún Laoghaire, Zabou took part for the second time in Waterford Walls Festival. Last year, she joined the festival’s mentorship program and was matched with her mentee Juliette Viodé, a French illustrator and muralist based in Dublin. This year, the pair collaborated on a mural located on Browns Road Library and were inspired by the story of the well-known book ‘The Little Prince’ by Saint-Exupéry. They painted an image of the little boy, modelled by Senan, and his fox surrounded by a starry sky and planets. This vibrant mural combines both Zabou’s realistic portrait with Juliette’s bold illustrations, giving a new life to the library.

Après le festival Anseo, Zabou se rendit pour la deuxième fois au festival de Waterford Walls. L’année précédente, elle avait rejoint le programme de mentorat de jeunes artistes et avait été couplée avec Juliette Viodé, une illustratrice et muraliste française basée à Dublin. Cette année, les deux artistes ont réalisé une collaboration autour du livre ‘Le Petit Prince’ de Saint-Exupéry sur la bibliothèque locale de Browns Road. Elles ont peint une image du garçon, interprété par le petit Senan, accompagné du renard de l’histoire et plongés dans un univers étoilé. Cette oeuvre vibrante réunit leur styles uniques: le portrait réaliste de Zabou s’unit en harmonie avec les illustrations éclatantes de Juliette.
