A number of key projects have been announced to mark the making of the film “Small Things Like These” in New Ross, Ireland, as the movie has finally been released in cinemas. The council has commissioned The Walls Project to produce a striking mural in the city center, which began earlier this week.

Zabou was invited to paint a large portion of the wall, which features a portrait of actor Cillian Murphy, as well as a cityscape of the town and an image of the book’s author, Claire Keegan. The striking image of Cillian Murphy being used for the mural, has been graciously supplied by local photographer Shane O’Connor, who took the picture while he worked on the film set last year. A second artist, Zippy, will produce a detailed typography section, taking inspiration from the book cover.
