Every year, the city of Wilhelmshaven organises a giant street art festival creating trompe-l’oeil and 3D paintings all over the town centre. Some permanent murals have also been implemented in parallel with the event. Zabou was invited to create a large-scale artwork, inspired by the local culture of the harbour and the seamen. She painted the portrait of Veronica, a sailor and poet, driving a boat and looking at the horizon. Her yellow reflective jacket and the turquoise sea are pulling in anyone passing by the mural to stop and let their eyes wander.

Chaque année, la ville de Wilhelmshaven organise un gigantesque festival de street art, créant des trompe-l’oeil et des oeuvres en 3D dans tout le centre-ville. Des fresques permanentes ont également été réalisées en parallèle de l’évènement. Dans ce cadre, Zabou fut invitée à peindre une grande fresque inspirée par la culture locale du port et des marins. Elle a fait le portrait de Veronica, une femme poète et marin, qui navigue sur son bateau en regardant vers l’horizon. Sa veste jaune et la mer turquoise captivent les passants, les invitant à s’arrêter et laisser leurs regards se perdre dans l’oeuvre.
