The Sincil Bank Art Project launched the first of a series of murals and public art installations in Lincoln, UK in an area of the city that hasn’t received much attention. Zabou was invited by the organisers to paint the first artwork: her own version of Lincolnshire-born Sir Isaac Newton. The genius scientist, modelled by Jono P., is portrayed holding a prism while the spectrum of colours shines on his face. The prism is painted over the chimney of the house. He’s surrounded by books, his telescope and an apple – all reminders of his achievements and work. The mural took 5 days to complete and is visible at all times on Kirkby Street.
